For my final project I decided to make a cave my concept of it was to be the light in the darkness but as I started to play with colors I decided it symbols being trapped in your own mind like being trapped inside a cave. I love the texture I made on the outer parts of the cave its very different to me. Although my water isn't very realistic looking its very fun pattern looking and I really like it. This project was actually one of my favorites.
Perspective Drawing: 5/2/18
We worked on our last drawing before our final which was a perspective drawing. I did a 2 point perspective but only because I'm not good at 3 point and I though 1 point would be to simple. I decided to do a graveyard that mirrors itself; I don't know why I decided to do this but I thought it was a good idea and it didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would.
Abstract Art 4/17/18
We used differen't elments of art and followed the instructions to make a different sort of picture. By following the instructions it gave us a sorta idea of what to do because we already had a start to it. I made mine by drawing a bunch of blues and purples then adding black then adding more blues. I used a butter Knife to add some more detail to it.
Alebrijes 4/9/18 (Not Finished painting yet)
We combined at least two different creatures together to make an alebrije. I tried combing three different animals a unicorn, crow, and hedge hog but my foot of my unircorn, the horn of the unicorn and the beak of the crow all fell off before I put them into the kelm. When i got it out of the kelm it broke so I had to hot glue things together. I added different colors to make it more unique and creative. It looks a little weird but I really like it.
Self Portait: 3/2/18
Recently we have tried to make peoples face's and self portraits. The first one I made didn't turn out the greatest but the one we worked on as a class turned out a little bit better. We're doing this to show for one how well we can draw people and ourselves, for two to kinda relate to others because of the different symbolism we show and how to kinda express ourselves with it. My three symbols were my lips being stitched together because I'm quiet about my home life and just about everything in my life in general. My second symbol was my crown of regrets cause I've done some pretty regretful things in my life and when I was little I was really into like being a princess so it was kinda a two thing. Then my last symbol was the fact that its in black and white plus color because not everything is always gonna be in plain sight sometimes you have to see all the colors of the rainbow to really understand things.
Final Project: 2/23/18
I really like how it turned out surpisingly the message it has behind it. I worked really hard and it took a lot of hours just to do the bricks and to me about 4 mintues to color each word individually. It was really fun. It shows that words can make everyone insecure and hurts everyone rather you know it or not.
Collagraph prints - 1/26/18
Recently we have been working on collagraph prints. My intaglios looked kinda bad and I didn't really like them at first but I'm starting to like them now. I really like how some of my reliefs came out. I think that my intaglios didn't turn out as well as what I wanted because my plate had to many different areas to fill and I might have used to much ink in them. I also accidentally made 6 of each because I thought the first 1 of each of them didn't look that good.
Collagraph Prints- 1/10/18
All of this week we have been working on making templates for our collagraph prints. We were able to use string, fabric, and just plan cutting into the plate to make a design. I used some string and cutting to make mine they just didn't turn out very well because I used to much paint.
Value Drawing: 12/6/17
We've been working on shading and value of the colors. We're trying to draw real pictures and make them look real as well. By taking close up images and drawing them and all of the lines and shades it helps us learn better on value.

Book Binding/ Sketch Book Project 1: 11/21/17
We used water color paper as our back/font page using different kids of water color methods to make the perfect back/front page for our sketchbooks. We were aloud to use many different materials to use as our covers for our sketch books, I used a plan one that I will probably later on put on a design to the front of it. Then we sew our paper into our sketch book so then we will be able to make great and wonderful sketches later on for the whole semester.
